1. How to Cancel
Clients may cancel their website design services or monthly subscription at any time by providing written notice to Strong Finish Inc. Written notice may be sent by email to info@strongfinishinc.com.
To help us process your cancellation smoothly, your notice should include:
- Your name and business name
- The website or services you wish to cancel
- Your preferred effective date (subject to the notice period below)
- Whether you would like a copy of your website content before cancellation
We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation notice and confirm the next steps.
2. Notice Period
The standard notice period for cancellation is 30 days from the date we receive your written cancellation notice. This notice period applies to the monthly subscription.
Note: This notice period is subject to the final business terms set by Strong Finish Inc. and may be adjusted by mutual agreement in individual cases.
During the notice period, your website will remain online and supported (provided your subscription payments are current). At the end of the notice period, the subscription and associated services will end.
3. Cancellation Before Website Launch
If you cancel your website design project before the website has been launched:
- Work already completed — Strong Finish Inc. may retain an amount from any payments made that fairly reflects the work completed up to the point of cancellation. This includes time spent on design, planning, content structuring, development, and communication.
- Work not yet started — any portion of fees that relate to work not yet performed may be refundable or credited, depending on the stage of the project and the specific circumstances.
- Design files and drafts — upon cancellation before launch, the client does not receive the website build files or design source files unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We will provide a clear breakdown of the work completed and the amounts retained, so there are no surprises.
4. Cancellation of Monthly Subscription (After Launch)
If you cancel your monthly subscription after your website has been launched:
- Subscription ends at end of notice period — your subscription will remain active until the end of the 30-day notice period (or the agreed effective date).
- Hosting, maintenance, and support stop — once the subscription ends, we will no longer host, maintain, or support your website. Your website will come offline and will no longer be accessible at its web address.
- No further charges — after the effective cancellation date, no further subscription fees will be charged.
5. Refunds
Generally, amounts already paid are non-refundable once work has begun. Specifically:
- Setup fees — the one-time setup fee covers the design and development of your website. Once work has commenced, this fee is generally non-refundable, though a portion may be refundable if very little work has been completed. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- Monthly subscription fees — subscription fees already paid for the current billing period are generally non-refundable. Your subscription will remain active through the end of the period for which you have already paid. No refunds are issued for partial months.
- Prepaid subscription periods — if you have prepaid for multiple months, the unused portion beyond the notice period may be refundable or credited, depending on the circumstances.
We aim to be fair and reasonable in all cancellation and refund situations. If you have concerns, please discuss them with us directly.
6. Domain Ownership
Your domain name is separate from our website hosting and subscription services:
- If you purchased and registered your domain name yourself, you own it and retain full control. Cancelling your subscription with us does not affect your domain ownership.
- If we assisted in registering a domain name on your behalf, the domain is registered in your name and you are the owner. We will provide you with the necessary access to manage the domain directly.
- Domain registration and renewal fees are separate from our subscription fees and are typically paid directly to a domain registrar.
We recommend keeping your domain registration active even if you cancel your subscription, so you retain the option to point your domain to a new website or provider in the future.
7. Website Transfer and Export
If you cancel your subscription and wish to move your website to another provider, we will cooperate to facilitate a reasonable transition:
- Content export — upon request, we can provide you with a copy of your website content, including text, images you provided, and page content. The format in which this is delivered will depend on how your website was built.
- Website files — the availability and transferability of website files depends on the platform and tools used to build your website. We will discuss this with you at the time of cancellation.
- Design and code — the underlying design, code, and platform-specific files are built using Strong Finish Inc.’s tools and processes and may not be directly transferable to another provider in their original form. We will provide what is reasonably possible and practical.
- Third-party services — any third-party services connected to your website (such as analytics, email services, or scheduling tools) are your responsibility to manage or transfer.
Transfer arrangements are handled on a case-by-case basis. We recommend discussing your plans with us early so we can advise on what is possible and practical for your specific website.
Note: Specific transfer and export arrangements are subject to the final agreement between Strong Finish Inc. and the client.
8. Reinstatement After Cancellation
If you cancel your subscription and later wish to restart services, we will do our best to accommodate you. Reinstatement may involve:
- Reactivating your website (if the build files and content are still available)
- A new setup or reactivation fee to cover the work of restoring your site
- Renewed monthly subscription payments
Reinstatement is not guaranteed, particularly if significant time has passed, as platform updates or changes may mean the original website is no longer compatible or available.
9. Cancellation by Strong Finish Inc.
Strong Finish Inc. reserves the right to cancel or suspend services in the following circumstances:
- Non-payment of subscription fees after reasonable notice and grace period
- Repeated late payments
- Violation of the acceptable use provisions in our Terms of Service
- Engagement in illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity through the website
- Circumstances where continuing the service relationship is no longer viable or appropriate
Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before cancelling services.
